Angela Balteskard


Angela has taught English at University level in France as well as English and French to "A" Level standard in Norway. Strong linguistic and diverse cultural background. Fluent speaker of English, French and Norwegian. Good working understanding of Spanish.

British National who has lived in England, France, Norway, United States and the Middle East. 

Angela founded Linguistic Solutions by Angela Balteskard approximately five years ago, realising that there was a gap in the market for top-tier translation services delivered swiftly at competitive rates. She was previously employed by Translatørservice AS, Stavanger, and by Noroil Publishing, Stavanger, where she worked as a translator and interpreter, as well as an oil and gas journalist. Since establishing Linguistic Solutions, Angela has built a solid and varied client base and currently counts Offshore Norge, Konkraft, the Norwegian Petroleum Museum, Næringsforeningen, MaiJazz, GladMat and Viking Football amongst her repeat clients. 

Former President of the Norwegian-British Chamber of Commerce, Angela is also a fully-qualified, classically trained Cordon Bleu Chef, with wide experience in all aspects of French cuisine, including patisserie and special occasion menus. Particularly interested in European food, with a keen emphasis on French and Scandinavian Cuisines, having spent many years living and working in France and Norway.

Angela has been an active Personal Member of the Norwegian-British Chamber of Commerce since 2015. She is also a Member of Den Norske Klub, London.
